There are over 95,000 First Nations and Inuit people in Quebec. As you make your way through the exhibition, see how these Indigenous women and men recount the past, share the present and dream of the future.

The result of close collaboration with the 11 Indigenous nations living in Quebec, This Is Our Story was developed in partnership with La Boîte Rouge VIF, an organization that promotes Indigenous cultures. Based on the experiences and insights of more than 800 people, the exhibition highlights the realities of these communities today and invites you to discover their worldview.

This exhibition has five distinct sections that explore who the First Nations and Inuit people are, their roots, the time of great turmoil, healing and decolonization. It also delves into the communities’ fears and hopes. The end of the exhibition focuses on the dreams for the future that First Nations and Inuit people have for the 21st century.
