Special Effects!
It is hard to imagine movies without special effects. They are everywhere: in romantic comedies as much as in science fiction movies! Turn the spotlight on this art form that usually stays in the background.
The exhibition puts you in the shoes of a film professional. The visitor journey takes you through six stations, each of which unlocks one of the secrets of special effects. You can experiment with different makeup processes, prosthetics, motion capture and even the famous green screen to create your own trailer.
Visitors learn how special effects have developed in the movie world through iconic film clips placed throughout the exhibition.
This exhibition was designed in co-production with the French organizations Cité des sciences et de l’industrie and Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée.
