Honour to the people of Québec

What do Kim Thúy, Gilles Vigneault and Régine Laurent have in common? They were made members of the Ordre national du Québec for their exceptional contribution to Québec’s progress and influence.

Induction into the Ordre national du Québec is an honourary distinction that celebrates the excellence, merit and commitment of individuals in any field—cultural, social, scientific, economic or entrepreneurial—who have made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of Québec society.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the founding of this nonpartisan institution, which awards the Gouvernement du Québec’s highest distinction.

For the occasion, the Musée de la civilisation is presenting inspiring Quebecers, objects that bear witness to their extraordinary careers and stories of commitments and achievements that bring pride to us all.
