Time of Pharaohs
Travel back in time to ancient Egypt, the land of the pharaohs! Exploring its pyramids, grand temples and resplendent culture, take a fresh look at this civilization that has captured people’s imagination all around the world.
Explore the culture and way of life of the Egyptians in a magnificent setting as you discover more than 350 precious artifacts, including stelae carved with mysterious hieroglyphics, statues of different deities, magnificent jewellery and richly painted coffins.
You’ll be amazed by fantastically preserved items, such as fragments of cloth, the genuine mummified body of an Egyptian woman and a fragment of papyrus from the Book of the Dead.

An exhibition conceived by the MuseumsPartner (Autriche), in collaboration with the Lokschuppen Exhibition Center (Allemagne), the museums of Aberdeen University (Royaume-Uni) et the Roemer Museum and Pelizaeus (Allemagne). the time of Pharaos is presented at the Musée de la civilisation by Polycor with the financial support of the gouvernement du Québec and the Ville de Québec under the Cultural Development Agreement.
