Travelling exhibition Fishing Stories
Fishing Stories dives into the history of sport fishing in Québec, from the arrival of English soldiers at the end of the 18th century to the present day.
This exhibition features 175 objects from the Musée de la civilisation’s collection of fishing tackle.
Casting a fine line between fact and fiction—like any good fishing story—the exhibition takes a playful approach, especially with certain objects that could be real or the stuff of tall tales!
Serious-looking “mockumentaries” will also make visitors wonder whether they themselves are, in fact, taking the bait.
The Musée supplies all the components of the exhibition, tailoring it to your exhibition space. It is responsible for organizing, setting up and dismantling the exhibition, as well as loaning objects from the collection.
