To celebrate the Barreau du Québec’s 175^th anniversary, learn more about the distant origins of the profession and the evolution of the practice of law in Québec since the creation of the professional corporation in 1849.

In addition to clarifying certain concepts, terms and objects associated with the legal world, this display case also presents the transformation and modernization of the legal profession and provides an insight into the Québec model of law.

An exhibition designed and created by the Musée de la civilisation in collaboration with the Barreau de Québec and with the support of the Ministère de la Justice du Québec and the Barreau du Québec.
